The 3.0 TDI DEND is Audi's third-generation V6 diesel engine — powerful, complex, and with known weak points in the timing chain, pistons, and bearings. MIK Motoren doesn't just rebuild this engine to factory spec; it systematically eliminates the design weaknesses from the factory.

In the VW Touareg, this engine combines driving enjoyment with everyday usability. Anyone who has it overhauled by MIK gets back more than the original condition.

MIK upgrades — why this engine lasts longer

Factory spec isn't enough. MIK Motoren actively replaces the components that limit the factory service life — not just what is worn, but what is structurally weak.

Reinforced timing chain — Increased chain wear is directly related to the chain design and the geometry of the guide rails. MIK uses a modified chain design with optimized guide rail geometry for maximum lifetime of the timing drive.
Reinforced pistons — Sporty or performance-enhanced use typically leads to piston damage in the ring zone, oil consumption above 0.5 l/1000 km, and loss of power. MIK installs modified pistons with improved piston rings and a specially honed cylinder surface.
