The 3.0 TDI CLZB is Audi's third-generation V6 diesel engine — powerful, complex, and with known weak points in the timing chain, pistons, and bearings. MIK Motoren does not just rebuild this engine to stock condition, but systematically eliminates the factory design weaknesses.

Installed in Audi: Q7 — vehicles known for their durability and high mileage. When the engine starts to weaken, a rebuild at MIK is clearly more worthwhile than an expensive new engine.

MIK upgrades — why this engine lasts longer

Stock condition is not enough. MIK Motoren actively replaces the components that limit factory service life — not just what is worn out, but what is structurally weak.

Reinforced timing chain — Increased chain wear is directly related to the chain design and the guide rail geometry. MIK uses a modified chain design with optimized guide rail geometry for maximum lifetime of the timing drive.
Reinforced pistons — Sporty or performance-enhanced use typically leads to piston damage in the ring area, oil consumption above 0.5 l/1000 km, and loss of power. MIK installs modified pistons with improved piston rings and a specially honed cylinder surface.
High-quality bearing shells — All components are measured precisely. Bearing clearance is set for lifetime and performance — for smooth engine operation even under continuous use.
