Delivery times

Here, the cylinder head is pressurized and turned in a water bath at approximately 80°C for several minutes. During this process, it is observed whether bubbles rise at any point, thus revealing a crack.
We can inspect components up to 100cm in length and about 40cm in height in our testing basin. This crack testing is particularly effective and reliable in the area of the coolant circuit of engines. If there are hairline cracks in the material of the component that open under pressure and heat, this process makes them visible.
We check every cylinder head we work on, for example. The risk of overlooking a hidden crack is simply too great.
A repair of cracks is often not worthwhile due to the increased workload. We are happy to advise you on this topic.
