The BMW N57D30B is a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder diesel with 204–313 hp, used in numerous BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, and X models. MIK upgrades — why this engine lasts longer

The work carried out includes not only the replacement of all wear parts, bolts, and gaskets, as well as machining of the mating and running surfaces, but also the replacement of components that are factory-fitted with weak points and the Limit the engine's lifetime.

• upgraded oil pump — The biggest weakness of this engine is its oil pump, which does not deliver enough oil pressure from the factory and repeatedly causes failures. Without sufficient oil pressure, warning messages, rattling noises, and loss of power quickly become noticeable and almost always lead to engine damage. For this reason, we use a specially developed oil pump that increases oil pressure across all engine speeds and protects the engine from wear.
• Alignment of the bearing bore — As mileage increases, the crankshaft bearing seats in the aluminum engine block shift, so perfect alignment of the bearings is no longer guaranteed and engine damage can occur. The main bearing bore must always be honed and fixed with the help of hardened shims. Otherwise, another engine failure is inevitable.
• High-quality bearing shells — As part of the overhaul, all components are precisely measured and machined. The bearing clearance between the individual components is set for lifetime and performance, ensuring especially smooth engine operation. Combined with high-quality bearing shells, this engine is also ideally suited for the sporty driver.
• The correct cylinder running surface — Over time, different cylinder liners were used. On the one hand, durable cast-iron sleeves; on the other hand, more vulnerable plasma or AluSil coatings, which tend to develop scoring after only low mileage and affect the engines' compression. We use only cast-iron cylinder liners to extend the engine's lifetime.
