Delivery times

Unless a different deadline is specified in the respective offer, the goods will be delivered domestically (Germany) within 5 - 7 days, and for international deliveries within 7 - 10 days after conclusion of the contract (if advance payment has been agreed, after the time of your payment instruction).
Please note that no deliveries are made on Sundays and public holidays.
If you have ordered items with different delivery times, we will send the goods in one shipment unless we have made different arrangements with you. In this case, the delivery time is determined by the item you ordered with the longest delivery time.

The 3.0 TDI CARA is installed in numerous VW vehicles, including the Phaeton. MIK Motoren not only fully rebuilds this engine — we specifically eliminate the known factory weak points and increase its lifetime far beyond the standard level. The result: an engine that lasts longer than new.

MIK upgrades — why this engine lasts longer

The rebuild includes not only replacing all wear parts, bolts, and seals, as well as machining all sealing and running surfaces. In addition, we specifically replace those components that are known to have factory weak points and that limit the engine's lifetime:

Timing chain — The increased wear of the timing chain is largely related to the chain's design and the freedom of movement of the chain links on the guide rails. A modified chain design and an optimized guide rail geometry ensure maximum lifetime of the timing drive in this engine.
Reinforced pistons — When tuned for more power or driven hard, the 3.0 TDI CARA tends to develop piston damage in the ring zone. Oil consumption above 0.5 L/1000 km and noticeable loss of compression are the result. We use modified pistons with improved piston rings and specially honed cylinder bores.
High-quality bearing shells — As part of the rebuild, all components are precisely measured and the bearing clearance is set for lifetime and performance. High-quality bearing shells ensure especially smooth engine operation — even during sporty driving.
