It is not uncommon for oil consumption to reach 0.5 l\/1000 km or more, and compression as well as performance drop significantly. The increased temperature in the combustion chamber puts particular strain on the pistons and valves. Modified pistons, improved piston rings, and a specially honed cylinder surface provide the remedy.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eHigh-quality bearing shells\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\/\u003eDuring the overhaul, all components are measured and machined precisely. The bearing clearance between the individual components is set to \u003cu\u003elifetime and performance\u003c\/u\u003e and thus ensures particularly smooth engine running.
