The engine is considered robust, but it has design-related weak points in the oil pump and timing chain that can become a costly trap over time. Without sufficient oil pressure, warning messages, rattling noises and a loss of power soon appear and almost always lead to engine damage. For this reason, we use a specially developed oil pump that increases oil pressure \u003cu\u003eacross all engine speeds\u003c\/u\u003e and protects the engine from wear.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eReinforced pistons\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\/\u003eWhen performance is increased or the engine is driven hard, it is more likely to suffer piston damage in the ring area. It is not uncommon for oil consumption of 0.5 l\/1000 km or more to develop, while compression and performance drop noticeably. The increased temperature in the combustion chamber puts particular strain on the pistons and valves. Modified pistons, improved piston rings and a specially honed cylinder surface provide a remedy.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eHigh-quality bearing shells\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\/\u003eDuring the overhaul, all components are precisely measured and machined. The bearing clearance between the individual components is set to \u003cu\u003elifetime and performance\u003c\/u\u003e and thus ensures especially smooth engine running. Combined with high-quality bearing shells, this engine is also ideally suited for sporty drivers.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eReinforced timing chain set\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\/\u003eThe increased wear of the timing chain is largely due to the design of the chain and the freedom of movement of the chain links on the guide rails.
